How To Select The Right Resort For Your Golf Break

If you are a golfer who likes to travel a lot, here are a few tips that can help you in choosing the best spot and making the most out of it:

  1. Leave your Clubs at home
  2. Always leave your clubs at home because the airlines charge a really high amount for carrying your Golf Bags. It can charge up to US-$100 for one bag. And before moving, you can check for the different companies in your destined location which will let you hire Club Bag and it can cost you around US-$46 which is quite reasonable.

  3. Choose Broad Golf Destinations
  4. Green Fee can usually increase the cost of your trip. But then again, there are many Hotels with Golf Courses and they allow you to play multiple number of rounds on their golf course for free. For example a Hotel in Greece by the name Costa Navarino offers 7 night accommodation with 5 rounds of golf on any of their 2 courses.

  5. Pick new Spots
  6. The best way to enjoy your golf break at most, is selecting a new spot which will make it more adventurous for you.

  7. Go for famous Golf Courses
  8. There are a lot of spots on the horizon which can give you right to brag about, later on. Always visit a spot which is famous. It should be famous with respect to its golf course because that is what you would be playing.

  9. Choose a rising Destination
  10. Golf is usually cheaper when the destination is yet in its emerging phase. They try to attract the customer with their feasible rates and luxurious services that they provide. And not only Golf and accommodation might be cheaper but you can also get cheap food in such areas. There are great courses which are emerging in countries like Turkey, Greece, India, Morocco, etc.

  11. Use a Tough Flight Bag
  12. If you plan on travelling with your own set of clubs, then you must choose a tough bag for the flight. If you do not do so, you may find broken or missing clubs on your arrival to the destination.

  13. Check if the Course provides Buggies
  14. Not all the courses include buggies. Some do but they do not allow them. So, before selecting a resort, you must check if the hosts allow buggies or not. For younger people, it is fine because they can walk but for older people, this option must be considered.
