Things that Make Gramacho Golf Club Stand out
When Ronald Fream successfully designed the Vale de Pinta golf course, he collaborated with Nick Price and created the distinctly designed Gramacho Golf Club. 27 greens and 18 holes of the golf course give several tee points to the golfers. You can have a great time at the golf course over and over again and still have different challenges every time.
Gramacho has hosted the Portuguese Ladies Open several times and it is regarded as an enjoyable championship golf course. Even the golfers with high handicap can play here to have moderate challenges. Apart from its amazing design of the golf course, Nick and Ronald managed to include the traditional scenery by using he innate stone outcrops, ancient trees, and historical arid stone walling with a few artfully carved bunkers and lakes. The overall effect of the golf course is a magnificent journey in the course of countryside.
The clubhouse of Gramacho Golf Club is situated in the core of the hotel, offering a complete range of facilities and services like:
- Buggy and club rentals
- Provision for changing
- Bar and restaurant, which boasts a spectacular scenery on the foggy blue setting of the Monchique Mountains, along with the spectacle of the fairway looking out over the 18th golf hole.
- Complete reception facilities
- Buggy bar
- Putting green
- A pro shop consisting of equipment from popular international brands
You can visit the clubhouse bar and restaurant from 7 am to 10 pm to have meals at any time you want. The restaurant provides International and Portuguese cuisines, diabetic meals, vegetarian foods, and you can also request for early suppers for your kids. If you want to host a meeting or wedding for a large number of guests, you can book the place for as many as 200 guests.
The Gramacho Golf Course of Algarve initially had only nine holes, which were cleverly extended to transform the course into an 18-hole golf course. This must have been an arduous challenge for the designers. The golf course covers rolling terrains with carob, almond, and olive trees scattered around the area since they were planted several years ago by the native farmers. If you want to play at Gramacho, you must be technically accurate to know which golf club you must choose before you hit the golf ball. If you go slightly wrong, you might increase your scores.
